HOTEL REVIEW: ROYAL PACIFIC HOTEL & TOWERS | TSIM SHA TSUI, HONG KONG

Looking for the perfect hotel when traveling depends on factors such as budget, location, number of people staying in one room and preference. So for our trip in Hong Kong, I looked for a mid-range priced hotel that is located in the city center, near the MTR line and  famous attractions. We were three in the group so I looked for a hotel that has a family room with three single beds but ended up getting a room with two big single beds at the Royal Pacific Hotel & Towers. I always check photos and reviews in Tripadvisor before booking a hotel to ensure a satisfied stay. While browsing photos of Royal Pacific Hotel & Towers in Tripadvisor, I stumbled upon one of my college friends' picture. I sent him a message right away on facebook and asked how was his stay at the hotel. He definitely recommends it and gave me all the reasons why I should book Royal Pacific Hotel & Towers. Booked!

What I love about the hotel:
  • It's gold! So easy to find, right? The hotel turned even more gold during the sunset. The hotel interior gave us a warm and cozy feel because of the Christmas decorations during our stay.
  • Hong Kong's Airport Express Pass includes free shuttle to and from selected hotels and that includes Royal Pacific Hotel & Towers.
  • The hotel has complete amenities (restaurant, gym, meeting/function room) that we were not able to try since we were always out during the day.
  • We booked the Pacific Grand room (tower wing) which was spacious and had two very comfortable single beds which were extra big making it 'almost' double beds. Our room had a partial view of the bay. It was clean and complete with organic toiletries, hair dryer, safety vault, closet and mini bar with cute mini alcohol bottles. The wifi signal in our room was strong.
  • Hotel staff were all friendly and always willing to answer our 'How to get to...' questions.

Location:

The location is very accessible. There's a convenient store and mall nearby. It only takes a few minutes walk to the train station, it's always a pleasure walking around Tsim Sha Tsui. The hotel has an escalator that leads to the ferry station going to Macau. Very convenient if a day tour in Macau is included in your itinerary. You can also walk from here going to Harbour View where you can watch the Symphony of Lights and ride the Star Ferry.

Price range: $200-$400

There's nothing I dislike about this hotel. I would stay here again and will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient place to stay in Hong Kong.

I used my favourite booking website Agoda to book this hotel and experienced no problem on our reservation.

Do you know other nice family/group friendly hotel in Hong Kong? I'd love to know about it!
